Our British Invasion!
Sometimes I forget how much I truly love London. Being a New Yorker for so many years, London always felt too similar to the Big Apple to justify spending so much time there. Once again, I have proven myself wrong. London is a very special place.
My wife, Anne Steele, is a touring singer and made her London debut last month. We decided to build a long weekend around the whole experience.
Our experience began with the ultimate of luxury at the stunning Hotel Cafe Royal. As a Signature Network travel agent, I feel it is important for me to experience as many properties as I can in order to properly sell it to my clients.
From the stunning lobby, to the plush gorgeous rooms, this property is a must see. We enjoyed high tea at the lavish Oscar Wilde Restaurant and craft cocktails at Ziggy’s where the room is dedicated to the legacy of David Bowie. Our included breakfast was enough to fill us up till dinner time. Your day can end in true relaxation at the spa and pool downstairs.
The staff was courteous, helpful and fun. I would like to say a special thank you to Franziska for setting us up and to Tobias for taking such good care of us.
Anne’s performance was at a venue called Crazy Coq’s at Brasserie Zedel. What a fun place! The Brasserie had delicious food and the music venue was fantastic. I highly recommend an evening here if you love live music.
We also ventured out to the theater one night to see “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie”. We absolutely loved this musical and recommend it to anyone visiting London.
